Silicone Sealant Application Method Statement

Safety Procedure


  • All JSP applicators will wear only JSP branded t-shirts & helmets for easy identification
  • Provision of sufficient lighting / illumination of work area
  • Warning signs will be displayed around the JSP allotted work areas
  • All JSP Application team members personal and health records will be kept at the site
  • JSP supervisors with a min qualification of Dip in civil Engineering will be at site at all times

Site Survey

  • JSP Team will take readings of site door architraves gaps between wall and architraves and will do recordings of the gaps
  • JSP Team will Record the site architraves and wall gaps reading and generate report with recommendations for acceptance and corrections
  • JSP Team will Submit reports to client and project team to ensure site is ready for silicone sealant applications
  • JSP Team will re-inpect the architraves openings after corrections made to ensure the silicone sealant application can be done
  • JSP Team will follow Architect approved grade and colours of silicone for reference
  • JSP Team will check the completion of all civil works such as wall plastering, flooring and etc, within the apartment and in the corridor area
  • JSP Team will provide a further list on obstruction materials if any to be removed prior to mobilizaion

Quality Control Methodology

  • JSP Quality & Compliance with Standards procedures will followed at all times at the site
  • JSP QA Team will check and ensure that all Doors architraves & Sanitary sets are without any damages and suitable for sealant applications
  • JSP QA Team will ensure that there are no other agencies working while selants are being applied in order to achieve highest quality finish
  • JSP QA Team will inform the Client of the total curing time and precautions to be taken care post application
  • JSP QA Team will generate a report covering all areas to be applied with silicone Sealants to ensure the area is suitable for application
  • JSP QA Team will inspect the material based on the Sample MOCK UP Door approved by client and will approve only specified materials

Execution Plan

  • JSP will provide an Execution Plan based on the site clearence schedule dates & priority apartments per client requirements
  • JSP will time to time increase / decrease man power according to site requirement and handing over deadlines
  • JSP will provide reports on a weekly basis to client to manage and oversee the application status on a regular basis
  • JSP Team will handover floor by floor for inspection and will move forward only on regular inspections and if any, only after rectifications

Application of Silicone Sealants

  • JSP Team of qualified Civil Engineers will guide and monitor the application process at site at all times
  • JSP Team will ensure that the good selant adhesion is achieved
  • JSP Team will ensure that Sealant fill the entire gap, joints or cavities and firmly connects all surfaces to cover selant & achieve performance
  • JSP Team will ensure the Sealants are applied +5'C to 35'C temperarture
  • JSP Team is well trained to apply using a caulking gun with a positive pressure, adequate enough to fill the gaps or joints

Pre Application Process


Surface Preparation

  • JSP Team will ensure the surface is CLEAN, DRY, free fron any DUST, GREASE, and visible MOULD CONTAMINATIONS
  • JSP Team will ensure that all precautions and safety mesaures are followed during surface preparation

Application Process

  • JSP Team of qualified Civil Engineers will guide and monitor the application process at site at all times
  • JSP Team will ensure that the good selant adhesion is achieved
  • JSP Team will ensure that Sealant fill the entire gap, joints or cavities and firmly connects all surfaces to cover selant & achieve performance
